    The Diversity Zampolits At Annapolis

    By CDR Salamander  |  Substack

Let’s revisit my post from 25 months ago to see how USNA has operationalized their Diversity Zampolit, I mean Political Officers…oh, wait, my bad, “Dignity and Respect” cadre all the way through the Midshipmen experience.

    How do they view themselves?

I’ve redacted identifying information below, as the Midshipman referred to—and those in similar positions further down the post—are not at fault.

They are just responding to the incentives and disincentives the hard-left have infused into our service academies.

Yes, hard-left. There is nothing “center” about socio-political Zampolit enforcing a Cultural Marxist view of human interaction.

These Zampolit have been mentored and shaped by the leadership at Annapolis.

For them in their service academy terrarium, inside a political terrarium that is Annapolis, MD, these seems normal.

    BEHOLD!

(STARRS NOTE: US Naval Academy Instagram post, 18 October 2024)

This is not the active duty and civilian staff “we will change our name so you can’t find us” DEI nomenklatura, no.

The below are the Midshipmen who are the embedded Zampolit all the way down to the company level.

DiThis is how what we discussed in September 2022 has been operationalized.

    Via COMDTMIDNINST 1601.12F dated 14 May 2024:

Unfortunate staff work. Either they didn’t fully check the updated instruction to change “Diversity Officer/Chief Diversity Officer” to the renamed “Chief Engagement Officer” – or they changed that name after May. Either way…it does help keep us up to date on what name the Diversity Bullies are calling themselves this FY.

You can almost hear them now, “No reason to remove DEI from Annapolis, we don’t have any Diversity Officers. No. Not a single on.

So, what exactly are these MIDN going to be doing? What skills they learn here will they bring to the fleet?

Where will there be Zampolit? Read 2.d

    • Each battalion.
    • Each company.
    • Every Extra Curricula Activity (ECA).
    • Every club sport team.
    • Every varsity sport team.

Leon Trotsky would be proud at how they’ve ensured everyone has a Zampolit.

If anyone can tell me where to find the following reference in 420.2.c, I’d appreciate it.

…three pillars listed in paragraph b(2)

There is no other reference to “pillars” anywhere else in the document, nor a b(2). How is anyone supposed to,

…ensure all projects are conducted within the legal and ethical confines of USNA Instruction.

…when they cannot even find the reference? No one wants to accidentally find themselves in Double Secret Probation.

Wait…what…look at the highlighted? OK, I’ll bite. What does the Naval Academy Athletic Association have to do with this? it is a,

…501C3 non-profit organization whose objective is to “promote, influence, and assist in financing the athletic contests of the midshipmen of the United States Naval Academy” in accordance with the policy of the Superintendent of the Academy.

Someone will need to explain that to me.

Anyway, there’s the answer you’ve been looking for the last two years.
