This problem goes back to at least 2020 as brought up to then Secretary of the Army Ryan McCarthy in a March 2020 Budget Request Meeting. He was asked to provide answers to allocated funds that were not used on food.
Starting at 40:28-47:30 He is questioned and says he will have to get back to the committee with answers. Which he never did. This was when COVID kicked off and so priorities changed.
I saw the Angry Cops video (https://youtu.be/ytBSX_wuw7A?si=3t1wD-7wG6q3_EsI) and that sparked my interest since I had no idea this was a problem still. He highlighted an App that is available for soldiers and sailors to use to air grievances with housing and food services. www.hotscots.app Anyone can download the app and check out the posts. You can also see the base's responses. This app generates a complaint form and sends it to the appropriate chain of command. They also are allowed to post praises of food service or housing when it applies as well. You can look back and see that this last Thanksgiving at Ft Carson service was lacking and soldiers were not even served a proper meal. They ran out of food and just served what they could.
Is this a spending issue? Staffing? Facility? Lack of pride? Lack of leadership? Also should they even have dining facilities on post anymore and bring in restaurants and just use campus style or food truck style service? These questions need to be looked at as well as what happened to the money? Is it sitting in an account somewhere or was it spent on other things?
Bring in DOGE and let's get to the bottom of this! Our military deserves better! We want the best fighting force in the world? Gotta start treating them like they are the best!

Appalling! With all the wasted money Doge has found- our soldiers deserve the BEST food we have to offer-their health and welfare needs to be made a TOP PRIORITY! RFK can fo this- let him at it(wth is wrong with our Generals, allowing this to persist🤬)!
