UPDATE:
Vehicle of four missing US soldiers in Lithuania was discovered submerged in water.
Earlier today, news broke that four U.S. servicemen were missing in the Baltic nation of Lithuania.
NATO Chief Mark Rutte just confirmed the four servicemen were dead.
"Whilst I was speaking the news came out about four American soldiers who were killed in an incident in Lithuania," Rutte told reporters, adding that he did not know any details, reported Reuters.
Lithuania's military later wrote on social media X that it was continuing an "intensive" rescue operation and had no information confirming the deaths.
"The soldiers, all from 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, were conducting scheduled tactical training at the time of the incident," the statement read from the U.S. Army.
No other information has been released at this time.
