Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth overnight returned the name of the venerable U.S. Army post Fort Bragg to its rightful name. The post had been renamed 'Fort Liberty' is a fit of Marxist historical destruction.
The base had been named Fort Bragg after the Civil War to honor Confederate General Braxton Bragg in a reconciliation gesture by the restored Union.
The new 'Fort Bragg' instead honors Private First Class (Pfc) Roland L. Bragg.

It has always been Ft.Bragg to this old Airborne soldier? The only thing I don't get is why Pete went through taht schpeel about it being named after a WW2 Paratrooper. No it wasn't and he should have made that clear. It's named after a Confederate General, Braxton Bragg, whom was just as honorable as many of the Yankee Generals whom he fought against in the Civil War! He wasn't fighting for slavery he fought because the North invaded his home and forgot all about "states rights"!
