“When in the course of human events” (hopefully sounds familiar) is the opening of our Declaration of Independence.  It goes on to list the reasons for our complaint.  In the latter part of the document Jefferson goes on to say we asked for redress and were ignored. Then in the closing paragraph comes the dissolution of any relationship with the Crown.

All of us of my generation and the next learned this early on in what used to be a decent public education system.  The Declaration along with the Bible and the Magna Carta and our Constitution rank as the greatest instruments of guidance and governance in the history of the human race.  So why am I bringing this up?  While Jefferson and the rest of the Founding Father’s grievances were against a King 3000 miles away, I see little difference today with the autocratic nature of our current President and his arrogant staff.  We have a government that - lies in almost every thing they say or do - arguably cheats its way to win elections -  sends the FBI against parents, inquiring at school board meetings about what is being taught/indoctrinated to their children - is destroying our economy - opened our borders and lying about it - mortgaging our children’s future - promoting the sexualization of our children - kowtowing to the teacher’s unions - weakened our Military with woke nonsense and too little attention to warfighting - appeasing our Chinese adversary that is intent on destroying us.

When is enough, enough?  How much more do we the people have to put up with?  What will be the tipping point?  Our debt is about $100k/tax payer and climbing.  We should hand over a bill to all the illegals upon entry.  How many more illegal aliens do we have to support and fund?  What is the next mandatory pharmaceutical we’ll be required to inject?  Consider the insanity of the open door to Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and the once great state of California and the influx of fentanyl continuing Biden’s documented Chinese connection through his chip off the OLD BLOCK son, Hunter.  There are so many dots that connect.

For my fellow baby boomers, little did we dream as we started this journey of life some 70 plus years ago that the once Yellow Brick Road has become laden with chemical filth, drug paraphernalia and potholes from the incompetence of too many in the Administration.  Little did we dream that our 401ks, retirements and our estate planning are in jeopardy.  Little did we dream, that an incompetent admin could create such disasters in two years.  In every poll, this administration is disappointing America, left, right and center on all fronts.

How did we get here? We got old and didn’t stay informed or involved.  We didn’t demand proper accountability and behavior from those we elected.  We allowed the media to abandon its heritage and become a monopolistic propaganda factory.  It is not all on the current incumbent.  All four Presidents in this century have contributed to this decline.  GW Bush got us in our Nation’s longest war having learned nothing from the British and Soviet experiences, as well as allowing the financial crisis at the end of his term.  Obama came in with the hopes of Black America on his shoulders.  He ruined our image overseas, made “friends” with “Death to America” Iran, started the destruction of our Military through the introduction of all things woke.  Trump came in with some good outsider ideas, but was destroyed by the left, the establishment and their Media cohorts as well as his oversized ego and addiction to speaking before thinking.  The hate for Trump by the left led to the election of a basement dweller candidate exacerbated by a faux existential virus threat that facilitated election cheating.  Not even Obama could imagine how much his dull running mate could bring down this nation. Remember he said, “Never underestimate Joe’s ability to screw things up”.  We should have paid attention.

If the left wins again, will that be the tipping point?  What will Patriots do? There is precedent.   This kind of tyranny (in my opinion treason), we have faced before and our Founding Fathers led us to the light of Freedom.

So what do we do about it.  Our Welsh Poet Friend has some guidance:

Do not go gentle into that good night

Dylan Thomas - 1914-1953

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

He is saying to us to not just fade away but fight inequities until our last breath. We were warriors once, I don’t think we ever had a retirement ceremony for our Oath. We remain experienced warriors with little left to lose.  Sounds like a powerful combination to me.

I believe we are not alone and there is a Silent Majority of good and decent people who when sufficiently jolted out of their lethargy will act.  That is our Mission…We must awaken likeminded citizens to action.  We need to be the stimulus for the Patriots of this Nation.  We are at the tipping point.   We must be ready to step in and lead.
