Is America Under Attack?

Darin Gaub, a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel, first enlisted in 1991. He served as an Army Aviation Officer flying Blackhawk helicopters, earning three bronze stars across deployments in South Korea, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Europe. After retiring in 2019 with two master's degrees, he took on roles as Montana State Coordinator for Army Military Funeral Honors and later, Director/Spokesperson for Restore Liberty, a nonprofit committed to strengthening American communities. As chairman of Kootenai Stability Resilience Group (KSRG) in North Idaho, our two groups are collaborating to restore our republic to the vision established by our Founding Fathers.

MA: Can you break down intel reports suggesting we may soon have coordinated terrorist attacks in the US?

DG: First, this isn't a new concern. It's something many of us have anticipated for at least two decades, if not more. Originating from a playbook crafted in China, it’s being implemented globally, not just in our own country. I work with the Global Veterans Coalition. It’s reporting on the severity of what I term the "immigration invasion," especially across Europe, where it's more pronounced.

These reports come from a network of trusted individuals, offering insights from their locales, stretching from the Darien Gap in Panama to our southern border, where I have connections monitoring the deteriorating situation. This intelligence is gathered directly from the people and organizations I work with. The FBI, CIA, and all those different agencies may be getting some of these reports too. Unfortunately, these days, many people don’t trust those agencies. What we're observing now aligns with a larger, deadlier anticipated plan of attack.

MA: What are those intel reports saying about this moment?

DG: First, the situation at the southern border is complex. While there are legitimate asylum seekers aiming to make a better life for themselves and their families here, they're vastly outnumbered by a significant influx from China.

These are predominantly well-funded, single, military-age males. We've gathered extensive evidence, including paperwork, logbooks, photos of cash, maps, and detailed preparations, confirming their activities. As these individuals cross into the U.S., some responses, like Governor Abbott's decision to bus them to various cities across the country, have been met with mixed reactions. This strategy, although it might seem effective on the surface, uses taxpayer dollars to disperse potential sources of crime and terrorism nationwide, with Denver emerging as a place of significant concern.

The intel we're receiving indicates an expected surge in criminal activity alongside plans for terrorist actions, though specific targets remain unclear. What is clear is we must brace ourselves for attacks on critical infrastructure. The consensus among trusted sources is these threats are imminent.

MA: Could you paint a picture of what we may be soon up against?

DG: In the military, we often categorize potential threats as either the most dangerous or the most likely course of action. The most dangerous scenario involves coordinated attacks by terror cells across multiple cities simultaneously, each with distinct targets designed to sow mass confusion and chaos. Attacks could range from sabotaging power grids to disrupting traffic and contaminating water supplies and exploiting vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure. The underlying motive, especially if instigated by a state actor like China, could be to confound the US, diverting attention from strategic interests in the Pacific, like Taiwan.

Conversely, a more probable scenario might involve smaller, less synchronized terror cells engaging in disruptive activities that, while not as widespread, could still cause wreak mass havoc. For example, in a small city like Helena, Montana, where I live, even a small armed group could create unprecedented chaos, especially because many people would not be prepared for such horrific events.

To counter either scenario, we must prepare now. Building communities of people equipped with diverse skills and thorough plans for worst-case scenarios is key. In my case, I've established a private security firm in Helena, maintaining a direct line to the sheriff, readying a group of 15-20 individuals trained to handle severe emergencies, all the while hoping such preparations remain unnecessary.

MA: How would such attacks change daily life in America and the world?

DG: This is a hard question, but it's crucial to approach it with a strategic mindset, preparing for the worst while hoping for the best. Based on the intelligence we're receiving the critical period appears to be between May and October. This, of course, is right before the national election. Adversaries might see this moment as opportune to act, especially while President Biden is in office, believing their window of opportunity may be narrowing.

Considering the potential impact on daily life in America, we could draw parallels with recent events in Israel, imagining a scenario where similar unrest spreads across multiple American states. Those individuals crossing our borders, originating from regions like North Africa, Central Asia, and the Middle East, could bring levels of violence to the US that, while potentially not as intense as seen in Israel, would still significantly disrupt society.

This shift would alter our nation's fabric, pushing communities to become ever more locally-focused, leading to tribal-like alignments rather than national unity. This is part of the reason we started the County Guardian program. It aims to establish heightened trust and readiness. By forging alliances with like-minded people and expanding our Restore Liberty network across the country, we're not just preparing to counter immediate threats, but also working to ensure communities can remain resilient and cohesive in the face of potential widespread disruptions. The goal is to avoid a painful transition from peace to war within our borders, striving instead for a prepared and united response to a challenge we hope doesn’t happen.

MA: Could you elaborate on the connection between potential attacks and the concept of the Great Reset?

DG: Certainly. Let's take the ship collision in Baltimore as a starting point. It's imperative to approach such events with caution, resisting the urge to immediately label them all as manifestations of the Great Reset meant to destabilize society. There's always a chance these occurrences are isolated incidents, unfortunate, but not indicative of a larger, nefarious scheme. However, given the track record of our government, which has so often disseminated falsehoods, any skepticism remains warranted.

We must also avoid hastily dismissing the potential for intentional acts behind such incidents. If substantial evidence is presented, beyond mere speculation on social media, then a deeper analysis is justified. My approach involves looking for patterns that align with the behaviors of adversarial forces or "Red Teams" who might exploit vulnerabilities in America's infrastructure to create disruption.

This analysis extends to the Great Reset proposed by Klaus Schwab. Any event that precipitates increased governmental control and mandates compliance can be seen as playing into the W.E.F.’s hands. Whether these events are planned with this outcome in mind, or merely exploited as they arise, they may be used for the same ends. Either way, the ultimate goal remains the same: consolidate power and enforce citizen compliance.

MA: Can you describe what Restore Liberty is and how it can help America?

DG: Restore Liberty isn't just our organization's name; it describes our mission in its entirety. This simplicity belies our comprehensive approach: building a trustworthy, decentralized network across the nation, a task we've dedicated ourselves to for the past four years with considerable success. The appointment of state directors is an important step, facilitating the development of our County Guardian program, which is key to our strategy.

As an entity, we function both as a nonprofit educational body and an advocacy group. Our primary aim is to advocate for state sovereignty and rights, emphasizing local empowerment to safeguard communities against all adversaries, be they foreign or domestic. We're committed to reconstructing the nation as envisioned by our Constitution, starting from a grassroots level.

The real opportunity for change lies at the county and city level, far away from Washington D.C. We employ a strategy that encourages acting locally while thinking nationally. This approach is designed to produce a ripple effect, creating shared community and shared purpose in city after city, state after state. In essence, Restore Liberty aims to catalyze change from the ground up, empowering grassroots citizens.

MA: How does our own Kootenai County Stability and Resilience Group (KSRG) in North Idaho fit into your vision?

DG: Your organization in North Idaho directly ties back to the Restore Liberty County Guardian program, an initiative that took root with a neighborhood watch I established in Helena, Montana, back in January 2020, well before the election. This effort, started by me and a couple of others, unexpectedly evolved into the broader mission of Restore Liberty, expanding its influence across the nation, even reaching international platforms.

This model inspired you and General Blaine Holt to establish KSRG in Coeur d'Alene, reflecting our vision in an area known for strong values and political activism. Now that you are seeing recruitment successes in Kootenai County, we hope to replicate your efforts across the nation, promoting a decentralized network of resilience without any rigid command structure.

The broader aim is to prepare for, and ideally prevent, the dire consequences of a societal collapse, a scenario we believe could be precipitated by our staggering national debt, now exceeding $34 trillion. History shows that such financial burdens often lead to national collapses. Should such a collapse occur, it would likely result in a power vacuum, with communities and individuals vying for control in a manner reminiscent of Game of Thrones or worse, Hunger Games.

Our network's purpose is to mitigate the chaos of such a collapse, expediting the recovery process to reestablish a national government rooted in the principles of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence that we already have. While we acknowledge the original documents may require minor adjustments, their foundational ideals remain our guideposts. Thus, through the County Guardian program and initiatives like KSRG in Kootenai County, we aim to increase collective resilience, hoping to avert a potential collapse, yet preparing diligently to navigate and recover from it if it does indeed occur.

MA: For regular individuals concerned by these developments, how can they get more involved and prepared?

DG: First, our website, restore-liberty.org, offers a resource we called 'practical tacticals,' designed expressly for engagement within the political arena. This resource is important for those disillusioned by D.C.’s machinations. It's about redirecting focus towards local engagement, identifying one's passion—be it education, environmental conservation, or another cause—then building up. The essence is to promote change locally.

The second aspect pertains to preparing for worst-case scenarios. The strategy I advocate is simplification—concentrating on essential needs like food, water, shelter, medical supplies, and energy. The goal is to secure these necessities for oneself and one's family for up to six months, or for thirty days if resources are limited. This approach focuses on resilience, encouraging community leadership and cooperative preparedness efforts.

Consider the utility of a communal storage solution, like a shipping container stocked with supplies for a small group. If you establish such a small group, a trusted team focused on essentials like food, water, shelter, medicine, and energy, you can be of real value to your community. Also, you can always reach out to us through our website Restore Liberty. We would be happy to provide you and your community with further resources to get prepared now.

MA: Thank you for your time today and thank you for what you're doing for America.
