On 7 Oct 2023, the world woke up to the horrors of a truly barbaric surprise attack upon innocent Israeli’s including children and the elderly.   The horror of those massacres has been magnified by the demonstrations in support of the heinous Hamas butchers at many elite college campuses across our nation by students and professors not only displaying their ignorance of history, but also serving as models of the brainwashed “useful idiots” (as Lenin called them) reflecting the indoctrination taking place in our nation’s universities.  The radicals of the Muslim world have moved quickly and easily from the Boycott, Divest, and Sanction movement to wholesale murder of women, children and the elderly, all endorsed by equally radical students at universities all across America.

The very same activists that condemn Israel are the also perpetrators of the divisiveness and resentment caused by the identity politics of the “Diversity Equity and Inclusion” (DEI) ideology taking root in our schools. It is insane moral decay on display to shout “death” to Israel. Before these same campus activists chanted in favor of “decolonization” to condemn Western (white) culture.

Many progressives have been awakened.  Self-described liberal former NYT editor Bari Weiss blamed the “ideological rot that has taken root at many of the most important institutions in American life,” especially” the places where young minds are molded,” when questioned on this topic.  For the entire statement see Bari Weiss on Hamas attacks: This is not resistance, this is barbarism | Fox News Video.

Weiss has been joined by hundreds of other liberals who still believe in the 1st Amendment at independent media such as The Free Press on Substack.

When we accede to the indoctrination of our children that advances “oppressor vs oppressed" mentality, “white privilege,” and other toxic concepts of Critical Race Theory (and its praxis DEI) in K-12, we are also guilty of fostering the resulting resentment, division, and confusion in our children. This undermines the ABC’s of learning and plants the seeds for the hatred we see happening in our colleges today.  “White privilege,” it seems, translates to “oppressors” who can never be “victims” — even when their children are beheaded and their parents are burned alive or taken hostage.

While this is not a national election year, the first Tuesday in November provides Americans hundreds of opportunities to elect local officials—including school board members— who can begin the process of cleansing our culture of all forms of “ideological rot.”

During COVID, the people of Virginia—led by parents who had learned what was being taught to their children--woke up and voted for change that placed a value on parental input where it is most appropriate.  The question we face on Nov 7 is will the rest of America follow suit and vote for change that will place emphasis on values that unite us as Americans—not those that support the hateful, divisive constructs of CRT/DEI disciples of Karl Marx nor those of a hateful ideology that condones the murder of children?
