The Calvert Task Group has launched a website to tell every American who has worn the uniform to report to vote: VeteransVote.us.
This new site for veterans is located at VeteransVote.us. You served once. Report to vote. The Calvert Task Group is a nonpartisan organization primarily composed of U.S. Naval Academy alumni and Navy veterans. In a press release, they announced the launch of this site in time for Election Day on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Calvert Task Group was founded in 2021 by a group of Naval Academy alumni, led by members of the class of 1969. Their class motto is “Non Sibi” or “Not Self”. Their stated mission is to support and defend the Constitution, the Navy and Marine Corps and the Naval Academy while rejecting the politicization of the armed forces through identity politics and divisive ideologies, and the group says its advocacy has helped bring back merit based admissions at the Naval Academy. The group's work includes the book “Don't Give Up the Ship: Woke Politics Are Endangering Our Military and Our Nation.”
Step 1 – Verify you are a registered voter and update your registration after a move or a recent separation from service. Step 2 – Choose your method of voting – mail-in ballots, early voting or report to the polls on Election Day. Step 3 – Verify the ID requirements for your state, since a Veteran ID card or other military ID often qualifies you to vote. Step 4 – Bring a “battle buddy” so no one is left behind.
We would also like our fellow veterans to vote their conscience by holding each candidate or issue up against the Constitution. Don't follow the crowd. Government answers to “We the People”. All of the links to information and resources about voting are to official government sites including vote.gov, the National Association of Secretaries of State, the Federal Voting Assistance Program and Military OneSource. If you are in a VA hospital or community living center, ask your Patient Advocate or Social Worker for information on voting at your facility.
The site also includes a ready-to-send message to text or email to someone you served with: “Fellow vet: Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. We showed up when it counted before. Let's do it again. Check your registration and find your polling place at vote.gov. Want to ride together? More info, go to VeteransVote.us”
Matters related to military readiness, recruitment, promotion, ship construction and service culture are all decided by our elected officials. The consequences of such decisions hit the most junior members first, and the Calvert Task Group argues that this is why the people of our great country sit at the top of the chain of command. “In this country, the people sit at the top of the chain of command,” the site says. “Your vote is how you give the order.”
STARRS, the Stand Together Against Racism and Radicalism in the Services, strongly supports the Calvert Task Group's effort and urges its members and contacts to spread the word. The Calvert Task Group is not supporting or opposing any candidate or political party and urges all eligible veterans to treat reporting for duty on November 3rd as a mission to: 1) verify the information above; 2) prepare; and 3) execute.
Veterans who would like to assist with this initiative can email [email protected]. As always, the registration dates for voting vary from state to state, so please refer to vote.gov to ensure you are aware of your state's specific deadlines.
