China begins narrative of superior military equipment

Reports of a massive aerial dogfight between Indian and Pakistani air forces in the recent Indian attack on Pakistan describe upwards of five Indian jets being shot down.
The reports are eliciting glee from Chinese officials, which supplied Pakistan with Chinese-built equipment. France supplied the Indian Air Force with Raphael fighteer aircraft.
China’s Weibo users praised the country’s military strength.
One top comment said if true, “All of China’s major military enterprises will have orders queuing up.”
Hu Xijin, former Global Times editor, wrote on WeChat that if Pakistan’s strikes are confirmed, it shows “China’s military manufacturing has surpassed Russia and France,” adding that Taiwan should be “even more scared," reported The Clash Report.
Update(1252ET): While there's been no official confirmation, a Pakistani official has described major aerial engagements above Jamu and Kashmir Thursday, reported ZH. Newsweek writes based on a CNN report:
Some 125 Indian and Pakistani fighter jets battled for over an hour in one of the biggest dogfights in recent history, according to a Pakistani security source quoted by CNN.
If the numbers of aircraft were confirmed, it would make it one of the largest air battles since World War Two.
According to more of the unverified claims:
The "dog fight" between Pakistani and Indian fighter jets, which Pakistani officials say downed five Indian planes, was one of the "largest and longest in recent aviation history," a senior Pakistani security source told CNN. The Pakistani claim has not been corroborated and could not be immediately verified by Newsweek.

Every AF always claims more kills than there ever actually were. Take 5 divide by 2 and minus one is probably closer to the truth.
