The recent election of new board members for the U.S. Air Force Academy Association of Graduates, saw the clean sweep election of anti-DEI candidates who ran on a platform of transparency and the agenda to rebuild the Air Force Academy to its original mission - to train warrior leaders.

In response, the incumbent AOG Board self-appointed two more members aligned with the Biden administrations anti-American priorities in order to dilute the power of the newly-elected members by USAFA graduates.

The five 'Unity Slate' members issued the letter below to the incumbent AOG Board in response.

Message for Air Force Academy Graduates
Dear USAFA Grads,
Following through again on our commitment to transparency, we are sharing immediately below, and in the attached PDF, a letter dated April 3, 2025, sent to the incumbent Air Force Academy Association of Graduates (AOG) Board of Directors (BOD) by us five members elect of the BOD, stating our objections to the recent actions of the incumbent BOD that have the probable effect of undermining the will of thousands of AOG members who have expressed, by petition and their votes, their desires to change the AOG BOD’s makeup and policies.
In addition, we provide you with this communication the means of providing your opinions about these actions by the incumbent BOD that redefines the makeup of the newly elected BOD, and about the directions the newly elected BOD should take the AOG after the new BOD replaces the incumbent BOD starting on April 25, 2025. Please read below and attached (1) our April 3, 2025, letter to the AOG BOD and (2) our survey of your opinions.
Please also go to our Unity website and complete the short survey of your opinions about the questions reprinted below, and provide any additional comments you wish to make. Your opinions and comments should help guide the existing BOD and the newly elected BOD, but only if you let us know what you think about these matters.
In particular, if you think the two appointments by the incumbent BOD discounting the will of the members as expressed in their overwhelming approval of a newly elected BOD and of amendments to the AOG’s governing documents should be reversed, please let us know that at the Unity website here, and also feel free to let the CEO and members of the current BODs know by emailing them directly at their email addresses below.
The five undersigned newly-elected AOG BOD members ran on a platform of "transparency" and "giving grads a voice." Appointing an additional two members to the BOD by vote of only 13 grads and discussing whether and how to do so in a "special,” “secret" Executive Session meeting in which the graduate community was effectively barred from attending, certainly is NOT "giving grads a voice" and being "transparent!"
Thank you for helping us help you by letting us know your views.
Respectfully, Rod Bishop, Chris Walker, Dan Bohlin, Alex Fogassy, Denny Merideth
