I recently went in to the VA for my annual checkup.
As I wrote last year, I was asked, "Do you want any vaccines?"
I find this horrific.
Why are vaccines given out like candy?
Shouldn't they be prescribed by a doctor?
How is an elderly veteran, who has many chronic problems, able to make a decision whether or not he 'wants a vaccine'?
Why is the VA pushing vaccines?
Is the VA getting paid to push vaccines?
Enquiring veteran minds want to know...
Same here; only I wasn't horrified - just amused. The tone and body language of my Doc made it clear he was just going through the motions and expecting the answer he got. I'm sure that is a top down directive; I am equally sure many Docs (like mine) think it is BS.
