The government of the former Soviet Baltic Republic of Latvia is moving to deport 6,000 Russian citizens. In addition, Latvia and it’s neighbor Lithuania are moving troops this morning to the border with Belarus.
“According to the head of the Commission on Citizenship, Migration and Social Cohesion Ingmars Lidak, we are talking about six thousand citizens of the Russian Federation, in particular, those who did not even try to pass the test for obtaining the status of a permanent resident of the EU, did not pass the exam and did not receive residence permit.
“They will be sent a letter demanding to leave the country within three months, otherwise they will be fined.”
