Former Space Command commander and F-16 pilot Matthew Lohmeier was confirmed today as Undersecretary of the Air Force by a vote in the U.S. Senate.

Lohmeier was interview by CDM Founder L Todd Wood years ago in a podcast episode that highlighted Lohmeier's then recently-released book -- The Irresistible Revolution -- shining transparency on the Marxist push inside the U.S. armed forces.

Lohmeier was fired from his position at Space Command shortly after, which led to a rollar-coaster career ride, culminating in the undersecretary position.

At his confirmation hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee in May, Lohmeier told lawmakers he would look to eliminate politics from the process of choosing which bases should host new equipment or organizations, and pledged to address “quality of life” and “quality of service” concerns that have pushed fighter pilots to leave the service, reported Air and Space Forces Magazine.

“Combatant commanders are calling for more air and space power capacity, not less,” he said. “If confirmed, I must be a strong advocate for a larger and better funded Department of the Air Force. This includes eliminating all unnecessary distractions and enabling military members to focus on their mission.”

Lohmeier spoke at Mar-a-Lago late last year during an event held by America's Future. He was honored as a DoD whistleblower.
