Mysterious drones swarms were sighted over the area of Langley AFB and the Naval Yard at Newport News, VA in December, 2023, as previously reported in The WarZone, March 16, 2024, and by the Air Force Press. There were “repeated incursions over a period of weeks in December”. The FAA was notified, and a high-altlitude NASA craft was sent to the location. No further information has been made public.

The employees at the Yard of the Newport News ship building facility were informed of the situation by their supervisor. One mechanic in that group, said that they had heard that Langley “takes down drones when they fly over”, but did not know where the drones were from.

As per that employee, one drone in this incursion did fall, whether or not it was taken down by the USAF.  It landed in the yard of a retired Newport News city police officer, who retrieved the UAS, and inspected it. The drone is said to have contained many pictures of “all over the Yard”.   A Chinese national came to the officer’s door and asked to have his drone back, but the NNPD retiree refused. The Chinese man then ran, and was not located, until he was arrested in San Francisco, CA some days later, according to our source.

Local civilian law enforcement were contacted by this author, but calls were not returned. No further information has been able to be found, and the identity of the retired police officer is as yet, unknown.
