Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has renamed Fort Moore to it's original honored status as 'Fort Benning'.
The post is now named after CPL Fred G. Benning who served with honor in WWI, instead of Fort Moore, after Hal Moore of Vietnam fame.
After hearing from many soldiers of the United States Army today, we can say the force is overjoyed.
Fort Bragg was also brought back to its original name after woke policies changed it to Fort Liberty.
Many a paratrooper has earned his wings at Fort Benning. The post's history is rich.

As an alumni of basic AIT and airborne there, I am glad to hear it!
This is so clever. Now we need to find another veteran with the last name Hood, Rucker, Pickett, Lee, Polk, Hill and Gordon. Shouldn't be hard.
I served at Benning, Bragg and Hood and am proud to have done so.
