USN 1973-1978... Sonar Technician on mostly Knox-Class Frigates... we were out at sea constantly, if not on deployment, then doing 'local' ops, where you would be out at sea for two weeks or so. I have zero sympathy for the whiners on the Lincoln. There's probably about twenty of them that the press pushes to the exclusion of every other crew member. Who were these people crying about jumping over the side? How many petty officers? How many line officers? How many pilots? The media sucks.
